Chord! is a comprehensive chord and scale reference tool that is compatible with all fretted instruments, including guitars, basses, ukuleles, and banjos. It provides precise computations and analyses for all possible fingerings of chords, scales, and arpeggios.

In addition to its extensive reference capabilities, Chord! offers a range of features that allow users to compose songs effortlessly by simply dragging and dropping chords. Users can easily transpose their compositions into any key, generate print-ready PDFs, and adjust audio tracks from their music library to play along with their compositions.

The app supports the import of existing songs in text format (please note that songs are not included with the app) and enables users to link audio tracks while adjusting pitch and speed. Even without a strong background in music theory, Chord! is designed to handle the intricacies of music to provide meaningful results.

While the app caters to users of all skill levels, beginners can utilize a chord list or an intelligent keyboard for chord input. The intuitive keyboard not only facilitates chord entry but also aids in understanding chord formations. Additionally, users can input specific notes on a neck diagram to explore potential chords and listen to how different fingerings sound. The app also supports chord arpeggios and drop voicings.

Chord! offers an extensive collection of named scales and provides interactive views (scale, score, keyboard) for scale analysis. Users can also visualize scales on a neck diagram along with accompanying audio playback. The app allows scales to be harmonized into chords and enables users to input chord sequences to determine suitable scales for improvisation.

The app includes a wide range of preloaded tunings for various instruments and allows users to create custom tunings for any instrument, with or without a capo. Even broken string tunings can be accommodated.

Chord! employs unique algorithms to generate charts, input complex harmonic structures, extract chords from fingerings, determine finger positions, compute scale keys, generate chords from scales, and identify scales that complement specific chords.
